About Tegemea Holdings Ltd
Empowering Communities Through Sustainable Agriculture & Self-Reliance
Our Story – Rooted in Uganda’s Rich Soil
Tegemea Holdings Ltd was founded with a vision to harness Uganda’s agricultural potential while fostering economic independence and environmental stewardship. Based in Buhweju (Western Uganda) and Wobulenzi (Luwero District), we specialize in organic honey, coffee, fish farming, and eco-tourism, blending tradition with innovation to create lasting impact.
Our Mission: Self-Reliance as a Doctrine
At Tegemea, we believe in the power of self-sufficiency—not just for our business, but for the communities we serve. Inspired by the principle of self-reliance, we:
🌱 Train farmers in modern, sustainable techniques to reduce dependency on external aid.
🌱 Create local employment to strengthen rural economies.
🌱 Process raw materials locally (honey, coffee, fish) to retain value within Uganda.
🌱 Promote eco-tourism to generate income while preserving natural heritage.
We don’t just grow crops—we grow opportunities

Why Self-Reliance Matters to Us
Uganda’s future depends on homegrown solutions. By:
✅ Reducing import dependency through local production.
✅ Teaching skills, not giving handouts—because knowledge is permanent.
✅ Investing in infrastructure (processing facilities, training centers) to keep profits within communities.
“A nation that feeds itself is free.”
